The target is on another small planet. Pointing straight at it seems reasonable—until the shot curves away. Zimblops – Orbital War is a turn-based space artillery game where the path between you and an opponent is part of the puzzle.
Think about the flight, not just the target
Planets pull projectiles as they travel. Your aim and power establish the shot, but gravity bends its route through the arena. A target can be close on the screen and still need an indirect approach; a curved shot can reach a position that a straight line would miss.
The training instructions introduce that idea directly: aim over a planet and let gravity curve the shot toward the target. Watching the flight gives you information for the next attempt. Where did the path bend? Did the shot reach the target’s planet, or get pulled back toward yours?

The ground can change between turns
The rounded planets are destructible. Explosions can cut into their surfaces, changing the ground beneath the characters and the space around them. A position that offered a useful firing angle earlier may look different after another hit.
That gives each turn a little more to consider than distance alone. Look at the surrounding terrain and the route through space before committing to a shot. The arena is a battlefield you can reshape, rather than a background that stays the same throughout the match.
An alien crew and a reason to try another angle
Zimblops pairs its orbital battles with a colorful alien crew and a varied arsenal. Its appeal is in experimenting with the situation in front of you: choosing an approach, seeing the result, and learning how to read the next shot. A miss can still reveal something about the arena.
If you like turn-based artillery and the satisfaction of a carefully judged shot, this is the core of Zimblops: take a moment to read the arena, commit to an angle, and see where gravity takes it.
